Role: Concept Creator, Art Director, and Production Lead
Objective & Concept:
- Blending Tradition with Modernity: I was tasked with the unique challenge of showcasing all 14 teams in a way that honored traditional French culture, while also capturing the essence of Top 14 Rugby. To achieve this, I conceived a concept that featured vintage-inspired posters, seamlessly integrated into real-world scenes, paying homage to the heritage and passion of French rugby.
Execution:
- On-Location Art Direction: Personally overseeing the art direction, I embarked on a week-long shoot across various locations in France, visiting each of the 14 team sites. Each location was chosen to highlight the unique identity and spirit of the teams, ensuring authenticity in every shot. The vintage posters were carefully crafted and positioned within the environment, blending seamlessly with the real-world settings.
- End-to-End Production Oversight: I led the production from concept to final execution, directing the editing process to ensure the vision remained consistent throughout. In collaboration with a post-production house, I oversaw the integration of visual effects and enhancements to bring the final sequence to life, ensuring the aesthetic aligned with the vintage, yet dynamic feel of the concept.
